Kane fires Spurs into 3rd spot

To challenge next season Spurs will probably have to spend big, but Pochettino still believes his way can be successful.

Pochettino still has three years on his contract at Spurs and said there was "no point" talking about his future.

However, Pochettino expects a hard off-season as Spurs will have to compete with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool to lure the best players to north London.

Pochettino was asked whether he would definitely be at the club next season.

That meant that Liverpool leap-frogged them into third but it was Kane who had the final word at Wembley to make the final score 5-4.

"That's up to Daniel and the club. But us, the club, the fans need to be on the same page". We are going to talk next week to create the new project.

Leicester countered and Vardy latched onto a long ball from Mahrez, and the England striker showed some excellent centre forward play before he rifled the ball into the top of the net for his 20th Premier League goal of the season. We were playing fantastic, we were very confident about winning.

From a position of strength, Pochettino sent a message to Levy that sounded suspiciously like an ultimatum: if the club want to take the next step to the biggest trophies, they have to invest more lavishly in top signings. You can not create dreams thinking that we can not achieve [them]. Of course, the ambition of the club would be to win. Maybe we are a bit disappointed and frustrated because now we are close [to trophies]. Being fearless is the most important thing and take risks.

"We can not think we are the cleverest people in the world winning trophies on small money", he said. We can not invest insane money. No one knows what will happen. We need to deliver the best way to try and win. I am going to celebrate with my staff, Jesus (Perez), because I think for us it is a massive achievement and of course not enough - because we want to win titles. You know me, I have insane ideas. "You need to compare every season in context, not out of context". But you need to be fearless in this kind of situation, in our club with our unbelievable fans, and take risks. It is the moment the club need to take risks. It's not only the big clubs. "I'm sure Daniel will listen to me and we will create together".

"In football, you never know", he replied.

"I repeat from my last press conference - today, 100% I feel that I am here", he said.

"I depend on my bosses, and it is healthy for myself, the club, and the fans to think you lose your job tomorrow".

"But in the end, there are a number of players who can help you improve".
